Please advise with video card and sound card upgrade.

Dear all!

I have a HP a6242n computer with Windows 7. It has "Integrated graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE, uses up to 256MB of PC memory (with 512MB or more total PC memory)". It also has "8 channel high-definition audio, ALC888S".

If I want to upgrade the video card, should I buy a video card with more than 256 MB?

And, if I want to upgrade the sound card, what kind of sound card should I look for?

Looking at your PC spec Here you may need to upgrade your PSU from the 250W power supply you have to accommodate a Graphics Card, when looking at Graphics Cards many will suggest what power supply requirements are needed in there spec.

Also check out your Motherboard manufacturers site as to what Graphics cards and Sound cards are compatible.

Exactly we need your intentions, also VRAM isn't the first thing to look for when picking a graphics card.
