PCI sound card

Just a question? If I install a PCI Sound Blaster Card. What happens to my onboard sound card? Is it disabled? It's a Realtek AC'97 btw.

no the onboard will still work, it's just adding a new card onto it, the onboard will still funcition, as it is the default!

hmmmm how would I disable it? Those Realtek AC'97 cards have been known to cause problems in certain games as I believe it draws CPU resources to function.
