For a card that needs two 6 pin connectors, or do they have to be separate for power outage?

The point of havinng 2 of them is because it requires a lot of current, so I would be sure to put them on different rails.

If you only have one rail, it'll work.

That is for 1 8pin power connector to 2 8 pin power connectors. They cannot be used as 6 pin power connectors.

Yeah, I don't think it would be a good idea at all. If you really need it, there some cheap PSU's out there that would be better for the job.

just use a different PSU to power what ever need, like 1 PSU dedicated to the mobo an everything, and a seperate one to run the GPU
