!!!pc Doesn't Switch On!!!

Hi pple.

I have just checked if the PSU is working by shorting the black to the green and it seems that is coz the fan spins and sounds fine. i have done it twice.

The PSU has got no on/off switch, so i controlled the power on the mains on/off button while doing that short.

I then unplug it from the mains and plug it to everything it supplies.

I push the on switch on the front of the PC but nothing happens. A little light that the UPS has is lit but the machine still doesn't come on by pressing the button on the front, nor does the UPS.

I have a feeling that the button on the front of the PC is not working, damaged somehow.

I am gonna try and get one from another computer and see if it powers up the PC.

Any idea on what might be happening guys ?

You can plug the reset button in place of the power button on the motherboard.

Check to make sure everything is plugged in correctly, RAM seated right, etc.
