I was wondering, are PATA optical drives still the Disk drive mainly used? Or is their a different type I should look for? I am building a computer and I want a decent $30 dvd-+RW drive. I like sony but newegg didnt have a big selection on sony drives. If anyone has any suggestions drop them by.

Thanks for all your support so far!!!!

If you mean the ones that use the huge ribbon cables, then yes, that's pretty much standard.

Ok I kind of thought so, I just thought since harddrives now have SATA II optical might start using it or something. Is their a good advantage to having a DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, or should I get a standard DVD burner? Could someone suggest a couple good brands for DVD burners. Thanks!!
