Hi, Im am trying to overclock my cpu (AMD 64 3000+) to about 2.4gh, right now i have it at 2.3gh with a Vcore of 1.60, is that Vcore high, i was looking online and i saw people running it at like 1.55 and they where geting really high overclocking. If i put my fps up to 240, and Vcore to 1.65 i wont post, im not even going to try for 1.7 seems to high.

sorry about that.
Ok to look at your specs there are TWO different versions of the amd 64 3000:
1) 3000+ 1,8GHZ - 1024KB cache L2
2) 3000+ 2,0GHZ - 512KB cache L2
which one do you have?
from your ststement I bet it is the 1.8 and you are already at the max for that chip. and you are trying to compare it to the 2.0 which will go a little higher than you are getting..and you can't figure why?
now you know.
Actually there is NO SET feature to overclocking. there are so many variables that can react/interact to cause different readings. The best thing is to just increase the values till it becomes unsteady and then back off a little till they are reliable/stable. Then let it be... anything else will cause you to be unstable and you will forever be posting for help.
