Im am geniunley rubbish at overclocking. And since it has damaged my system twice ive lost my will to do it.

I want to do it because it has potential. Now when I raise the FSB above 228 MHZ it refuses to boot. I heard you have to also overclock the RAM as well

Can people tell me what to do PRECISLY! Because every guide ive looked at runs over the specifics and I get confused...

Thats the trouble though (i'm going to try overclocking soon and have no idea how to do it) every PC is different and so the settings you'll have to set will be different :(

The only real sure way is finding someone with exactly the same specs as you

well...did you try raising the vcore on the cpu? That could be the reason why. Or, your cpu wont get up as high. What multiplier did you set it as? The lower the multiplier and higher the FSB while maintaining the same clock speed will be faster than a slow FSB and high multi. and you could try raising the DIMM voltage but i would do that last. And try to make the timings on your RAM looser if you have to.
