You don't need to reinstall for new processors, however some software may need to be re-instaleld / reconfigured fo recognize the X2

EDIT: Unlikely though, as most software isnt written for dual threads anyways.

Will I have to install new software and drivers?? I have an asus A8N5X mobo. I was also wandering if a 430w PSU is enough for the X2 4200, 6600GT, HD, 2 DVD drives, 6 fans, and audigy sound card. Should the stock fan be enough to cool it? Thanks again to all who reply!!!
