seems like i cant run SLI anymore due to not having enough power so....

in order to achieve Dual Channel
All the ram must have the same timings and speed, and the rest can be different right? (IE voltage)

EDIT - and just to make sure, how do i know what timings on my ram? I bought CL4, but when i ran CPU-Z, it says i am running on 5 (which it seems like its the maz since CPU-Z doesnt display any 6 timings)

do they perform as well as my corsair and will it be able to run Dual Channel?
if it limits my Corsair XMS2 then i wont get it and get another XMS2 later when i get more money.


EDIT2 - this is off topic and didnt want to post another topic, but i read somewhere that if you got a sound card, and put it in the system, it makes the CPU work easier, IE the CPU will perform better since the sound card has its own processor. is that true?
If it is, then what are some good brand sound cards?
i am not using Surround sound, i only have 2 speakers and no sub, i might get some later, but then again, maybe not, so how channels on the card should i get?

for sound you should get a 2.0 for just left and right. and with a left right speaker and a sub you need a 2.1 sound card. good brands. just look at ratings on newegg.

All thre of those memory sticks will run fine together in dual channel as long as the motherboard supports it.

For the most part, having a dedicated sound card does relive the CPU of some cycles and in most cases it sounds much better than the on-board sound chip. Most all cards supply 5.1 - 7.1 channle sound. You really only need to find one in your price range. They are all pretty much the same sound quality wise if you stick to the well know brands.

a good cheap card is the SoundBlaster Audigy SE ($30), you can download and install the modded drivers and it will basically become an X-Fi Xtreme Audio (a $60 card)...
