this will be the first computer i make myself i was gonna get this motherbord GIGABYTE GA-K8NS when out of the corner of my eye i saw that it had 754 socket. then i was gonna order this AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1GHz FSB and i saw it had 939 socket is that going to conflict then wat is my cheapest fix plz help me im a noob!

Get one or the other. I prefer you get a motherboard that supports socket 939 and a CPU that is socket 939 compatible. You will have confilct is you mismatch the sockets.
 
And as a side note i remember reading a while ago that amd where going to fase out the 754 socket, im not sure if there is any updates on this or if they have not decided whether to do it or not.
 
Yes, they will be phased out eventually but not anytime soon. The Socket 939 may take over the Socket 754 line of budget PCs when the M2 comes around. Kind of like how AGP will eventuall be phased out by PCI-express.
