I can tell you wihout hesitation, get the 6970. Why? Because it's a better card. Slightly more modern. The 570 was king in it's pricerange for a short time and then the 6970 took that spot. Also, AMD usually run cooler.

well the amd (tri fan) will run much cooler and costs around $380 aud for me from umart. the 570 is around $391 aud.
and the vram 2gb is higher on 6970 plus its 920mhz vs 720mhz.570 1.2gb vram.

news just got in i can soon afford a 580 so what do you think now???
