Just a summary. A ASUS mobo that supports SLI, has a lot of lil bells and whistles. The CPU is a AMD 4400 I believe (isn't that a dual core) running at 2.4GHz. My GPU of course is 7800 PSU is a 600 watter and $$$ for a PSU in my mind so it'll be agood one. Figure i'll finally go to 1 GB sticks considering I got a really good mobo coming in. ANd my RAm is a ok choice I guess. My HD is a 400 GB at 1.7 GB to the dollar. Anything that seem right or suggests please suggest. O BTW my mointor I think it going be really nice 19inh 2mm respone rate . My bugdet is nearly limitless since this should take about a year to build and all.

By the time you string this out over a year, a new vid card, higher speed processors will be out, bigger hard drives. If you just saved up til the end of the year and bought it all at once you could get better stuff. You'd actually know if you had functional parts too or not. Hard to send something back a year later claiming DOA.

What I read for the link you said was the CPU is a 4000+. It isn't dual core. It'd need to say X2 to be dual core.

Other than that. Looks nice.

Wow, a year to build? I think that's a bad idea. Like Rewtguy said, you need to make sure that your hardware together to see if it works. Everything looks good though.

I'd wait to because you can save more money and get better stuff.

Plus, vista is coming out soon so you may wana wait.

Yeah def wait and save the money..Whats the point of having a 300gb HD just sit there for another 5 months doing nothing, collecting dust..Save your money buy at 1 time

Socket AM2 and Intel's Conroe are just around the corner, so you should just wait it out.

Well HD is somthing I'd want, and it'd be capable almsot for sure. And I gues you guys are right about the video card, and such. But mointors are somthing that don't get "phased" out often. And yes a year I need to say. Basically it'll be upgradin ggmy computer, then one day completely switching. So then I guess the rest will be ifys and i'll just get the HD, Mointor, and case.
