not really....if the cpu is using the same manufacturing process, the overhead space for ocing get smaller as they raise the speeds. That is what happened to Intel with their pentium threes and the development of the Net Burst Architecture. And when the cpu uses up all the head room, its back to the drawing board again for a new core.
