New computer build (any advice appretiated)

I am particulary not too sure with the motherboard and the case with the power suply. So any help on those 2 items would be GREATLY appretiated.

EDIT: Oh and also forgot to ask, how much power will be needed for this PC? Is 500W enough? Too much? Please help me with this as I am not good with hardware, I was always more software based.

well these specs are good but why you dont go for intel duo? About the motherboard asus would be better i think.
The memory(RAM) are good ones 2gb would be better if you want better performance when vista releases.
About the power supply i think but im not sure it would be enough but if you want for the future 600w or 700w would be better.
maxtor harddrives are good enough.
the evga graphic card is an good choice i think joepic has one and he said he hasnt until know have problem with it

looks pretty good. I'd suggest paying a little more and getting an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe. I have one running right now. No problems.

I think 500watts would be enough, but I would suggest getting a OCZ GameXStream 600Watt PSU or even the 700Watt version that I have.

Thank you for all your advise. Is Seagate better than Maxtor? Ive always used Maxtor, and it failed me only once when it burned down a few years back.

As for the motherboard, the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe is 185 dollars, and is a bit over my budget. For a motherboard I can pay...well...up to 130 dollars CAD. Any suggestions?

As for the memory I can always upgrade, because for this system my dad is paying cause i helped him sell his house, and he doesnt wana pay too much for it. So I guess the limit would be $1500 for the system, 2 19" LCD's, and mouse/keyboard.

Seagate is alrite, I have a 160gb Seagate HD with a 8mb cache, and have had no problems. I'd recommend getting two 80gb Western Digital Raptors. They're extremely speedy with their 10,000 rpm spin speed, and you would have an extra drive to store back-ups and stuff. It would just help out your overall performance.

Seagate now owns Maxtor I believe. Seagate is a great company IMO. They offer a great warranty (5 years last I checked), and they support perpendicular recording technology. This speeds up the 7200RPM drives dramatically.

Well someone here suggested an ASUS mobo instead. Is: Asus M2N-E w/ DualDDR2 800, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, PCI-E x16 better than the one i already have which is MSI K9N Neo-F w/ DualDDR2 800, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, PCI-E x16
