Now this is for gaming with games like bf2 (already play it at the moment) and i am looking to buy Cod2 and maybe MohPA...now what graphics will it run some of these games on?...also looking into Half-Life2 and Quake 4 etc.

also should i look for a gddr3 memory video card...also later if i put in two 7600GS's would i see a huge increase in performance? thx

edit: also i picked the 7600GS because it has a normal monitor plugin which is called a vga i think...now it has a DVI input...what is that for?...also all video cards higher then that only have 2 DVI inputs on no VGA is DVI for newer monitors?...thx

ok...so if it has 2 dvi inputs and no vga inputs then there will be a dvi to vga converter...cool so i can maybe look for a better card....now what about the setup...what do u think of it and what would i get out of games....thx

also what do u think of me later getting a nother 7600GS so i can have the dual thing since its built for SLI...thx

edit: also when peforming dual channel ddr is it better just to use 1gb cards or 512mb cards? someone said if i were to just get 2 gigs it would be better to get 4 512mb cards...thx

Nah i ill advise you to get a better card since if you gonna go for SLI setup you would need to upgrade your PSU

well yeh see im not going to do SLI until later...ill just start with one card and go from there...and im on kinda a tight budget and most people say they can overclock a 3200+ to about 2.5ghz...also i was thinking of a better vidoe card and now that i know there is a dvi to vga cable i can look for a better one....but seriously on a rating of one out of ten what would u give the system if it was setup like this

AMD Athlon 3200+ OC to 2.5ghz
eVGA 133-K8-NF41 nForce4 SLI
Geforce 7600GS (x2 later)
1gb (512x2) Patriot Select Dual Channel DDR400 RAM
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
??????????????????????????????????????????????????

thx...also is it better to buy 1gb sticks or 512mb sticks when doing dual channel...it has 4 slots so i can end up wtih 2gb (512mbx4) or 2gb (1gbx2)...thx

go with 1 stick of 1GB for right now if you know you are going to add another GB later. 2DIMMS puts less stress on the memory controller and you might take a performance hit running 4DIMMS. And I would really suggest getting a better powersupply. A bad power supply could go boom and take EVERYTHING with it.

Well you need to get organized, first of all dont u want a SLi ready video card? I mean you could get a better card for $100 bucks more for the time-being. Try getting a BFG nvidia GeForce 7900GTX or two 7800GTOC. O yeah u will c a huge increase in performance and stabability. And keep in mind that u need a good power supply, go for a 650watt power supply from BFG and dont forget about the cooling. Anything that says "dual" means that its double the brainpower and flow, its like two highways on one memory stick, which means more space and speed, while one channel means a single highway which means aww traffic! The 7800GTOC outperforms the 7600.

As far as using BFG, check their current reputation. I have a card from them, and I can verify I had some issues and many will say the same. Their support was okay for me, but it still was a hassle with the dead cards..

Going with evga would be a better choice.

eVGA has the better warrenty too. If you touch the BFG card one bit, it voids your warrenty. EVEN underclocking it. eVGA has the best warrenty IMO.

theres too many to choose from nowadays, yeah eVGA is good but its something that i havent tried so i really cant say anything about it, wat about PNY, XFX, ASUS, GIGABYTE, AOpen, LeadTek and the rest?
