hi all,
i am using a desktop with the below mentioned configuration
intel core i3-2100 CPU 2.1 GHz (HD 2000 Graphics)
intel DH67GD media series motherboard (H67 express chipset)
Windows 7 and ubuntu 10.04 LTS are the installed OS's
my motherboard has DVI-I, DisplayPort and HDMI display ports. at present i am using a CRT monitor (1024 x 768 @85Hz resolution) which is connected to the DVI port via an adapter.
i am now in a position to replace my VGA monitor and would like to enjoy the high definition digital graphics. my confusion begins here to choose a good monitor.
i have 4.1 channel audio system. so will it be a foolish job if i choose a HDMI monitor over a DVI-I monitor (suppose both display same resolution)? i have heard that the graphics of both DVI and HDMI are basically same except that HDMI carries audio along with video.
i have a bit weakness about HP and Samsung and also a bit tight in cash. i can afford $300 for buying a monitor now.
i would eagerly like to get your suggestion in picking a good monitor (HP or Samsung) @ $300 max.
thanks in advance
