Need Some Advice Please

Hi,
in the next month or so im looking at building a gaming pc that can play current and new games like crysis on max settings.. im looking at spending around $3000 australian dollers and so far have come up with this system:

8800GTX (asus,Gigabyte or leadtek?)
E6600 C2D
2GB Kingston 667Mhz ram (DDR2)
coolermaster 650W PSU
ASUS P5B Plus-Vista motherboard
500GB SATA 7200rpm HDD
VISTA 64 bit.. or should i get 32 bit?


i know i should upgrade the ram to 800Mhz and i will if i have some spare change at the time.. however is there anything else i should/need to upgrade or change to make this a better system? im open to any ideas and will be happy to change anything and everything if it results in a better system at the end.. i dont want to go over $3000 if possible.. thanks in advance for any help,advice or comments

I have an idea. Change the mobo to a 680i chipset. Those work great with c2d and provide beautiful overclocking. Lots of BIOS options, and the warranty cannot be beat.

The motherboard could be changed to an ASUS P5KC. I'm starting to recommend them to users now.

RAM, try to change the 2GB DDRII-667 for a DDRII-800.

Anoother thing is that if you can wait a bit more for the CPU, I'd wait for the E6650-E6850. The 1333MHZ FSB C2Ds.
