Need help for Upgrading Pc for gaming

hey there, i'm new to this forum but it looks very useful! I want to upgrade my current PC to be able to run games such as Dead Island and Battlefield 3 with high graphics and little lag. These are my specs, can anyone suggest any graphic cards etc.? Thanks in advance : (Please tell me if i need to put any ohter information about my system etc. )

It all depends how much you want to spend. CPU and ram should handle bf3 no worries, and the recommended card (on the website) is nvidia gtx560 or hd6950. Its hard to tell before the game is actually out but (unless your pushing over 1920x1080) a hd6870 should run it at fairly high settings and be cheaper, although the gtx560 is generally cheaper still and apparently slightly quicker...? Might be best to wait for some benchmarks before committing to buy
 
Willus has it pretty much spot on, there's a little too much speculation out there right now on what's going to run it well. I realize that several folks have the beta now, but final code can be vastly different in some cases than the beta. Your monitor is saying 1680x1050, so right there, anything from a GTX 560 to a Radeon HD 6950 would be a fine upgrade, the resolution you're running just won't punish the card as much as say 1920x1080.
