my new computer build

so i used a crappy HP pavilian for years and years and really wanted to get into gamming but never could. so i decided to build a computer.

this is what i came up with:

proc -AMD 64 3000+ Venice

mobo -BioStar nForce 4 SLi Ultra ATX

memory -GEIL 512 x2 dual channel

graphics -xfx 6600 256MB

case -CoolerMaster Centurion5

PSU -Antec smartpower 2.0 400 watts

Harddrive -Western Digital 160GB 8mb ATA

and just a plain CD-ROM untill i upgrade

Are those Geil the Geil ONE series? Those are pretty good with lower latency. The video card is a limiting factor. Try to get a better one like a 6800 series card or if you must, get a 6600GT (budget card).

ew 400 way? no way. and how much money you got? that would help. and the mobo i dont like that much.

and i dont like IDE, get SATA. but then again IDE is good for budget.

as for the motherboard? i dont feel like looking for a motherboard right now
o ya this is a nicer sound card but idk, i am not good with sound cards
