My gateway died...after only 2 years...i have determined it to be a complete MOBO failure...so I said ill just build a new comp... and here it is: (not the best be def not a slouch, I have another 2GB of the same ram to put in it, ill use my 7600GT for now since I dont have money to replace the vid card with something much better, and another DVD drive that I can go with too.)

Depending on what it's for .. SATAII isn't really necessary imo, you can save yourself some money there. For this build and that video card also, the motherboard is a little overkill, possibly save you some money there too. Other than that the other parts I think look fine.
 
step up to a Q6600, its a few bucks more and you can overclock it to 3Ghz easy

At some point in time ill be getting a new vid card...just dont have the money for it now...and i have a couple other HDD going in there...i have another 320, and 250 that im going to use as data storage.

as far as the Q6600 goes im not going to get into OC yet...just because I cant risk frying anything.
