okay so i have this thing on my computer and its a for of spyware...
its called "my way search assistant". it shows up on add/remove programs, but there's no button to delete it. all of my spyware/adware/malware detection programs dont pic it up...except for this one that's a trial thing where it just scans the comp and then tell yous to buy the whole thing to remove it. anybody have any suggestions?

well...

You can do a google search for a removal tool or instructions.
But let's try this first.
Disable the restore points. Disabling them will delete them.
Next boot to safe mode.
Then run your ad/spy/malware tools.

Let us know if that gets the little imp.

follow setishocks advice. and if that doesn't get it out then leave your system restore off and go to this website and use the free and very good scanner they have. It should be removed by them.
http://trendmicro.com
just do the full scan and let it run for however long it takes.
If it still fails we will hunt it out and get it the old fashioned way.

how do i "disable the restore points"...see this is probably why its still on here. :-/

Start> Then right click on MY COMPUTER> Click on PROPERTIES> Select SYSTEM RESTORE> Click on the box next to TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE ON ALL DRIVES> Click APPLY> Click OK

Now they're off. When you're done turn them back on .

stlpnazi-i went to that site and it told me to add/remove it. which ive already tried! it doesnt give the button to remove it though.
