hello guys. I just got my very first laptop along with vista. my question is if I can pull out this graphic card and put a better one in.

My Acer is the Extensa 4630z (on the box it's says 4630-4658, on the laptop says 4630z).
-intel dual-core T3200 (2.0gHz, 667 MHz FSB, 1MB L2 cache)
-intel graphics media acc. 4500M

does laptops have a specific socket just like for desktop?? im more familiar with desktop.

but yea i just need to know if my laptop is upgradable grahics. also where to buy these laptop cards.

thanks.

You can't upgrade your graphics card regardless of model on most notebook computers.

okay. so i know what graphic cards now are integrated or not. they're just the same as desktop kinda. you can only change replace if it's a geforce or ati or soemthing.

so i decided to return my laptop and look for another. i needed a cheap laptop just like this one but good card. whats a integrated card that is about 256MB?

non integrated ones are too expensive for me right. i still want a 14.1" Acer tho.

thanks.!
