I have a dell 8300, its a 3.2 GHz prescott with an 875p chipset. I was looking in upgrading the motherboard. I was wondering if I could go with this one its an asus 925x It says LG775 socket but I just want to know if my processor will fit it. here is the link Would i have to use DDR2 only on the motherboard or can i use my PC3200 on it http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-505&depa=0

first you have to tell us if you cpu is the old socket 478 king or is it a new 775 kind?

it would be a 478 socket

then the socket 775 wont work go with the second one.
