i just found out from asus website my asus a8v deluxe doesnt support SATA 2 harddrivess. and i need to buy a second hd, so it has to be ata, am i missing much. is the ATA terrible compared to SATA 2 for playing games. right now i only have two choises SATA (not SATA 2) and ATA. is there a noticble difference between them.

no its not horrible. SATA is sexy and all, but the the amount of peformance increase you would see in games by using SATA vs ATA/IDE (their the same thing), is hardly noticable. SATA is faster and better, but its really not worth buying a new mobo to get it if you dont need a new mobo.

right now i have 1.51 gb of free space left lol, its an 80gb harddrive full of games and movies.
