windows 7 x64

gigabyte GA-EP43-UD3L 775
intel quad core

oh and both have the same timings and latency and voltage

Mixing Memory from different vendors = bad idea

It'll work in a lot of cases, but there's minor quirks to how each brand handles some things, so it can be a problem with how the timings are being done.

Also, download and run a copy of MemTest on your system. Let it run and see if any red pops up. If there is red, shut the system down, take out a couple of modules and re-run the test.

Ideally if you have the time, run the memtest on each stick of RAM individually, that way you can see if there's a bad module. If they all pass, then it might just be the setup that is the problem. It's not uncommon for problems in a PC to surface after normal use.
