microphone amplify..

real emergency..

ive got a standard line in microphone, and i thought when you plug it in that it would amplify the microphone.. but it doesnt..

does anyone know any software that can do this... im having a party in about an hour.. and we need this working..

help?

If you've got speakers it should work fine.. also if you want to make it louder you can go to volume control, advanced properties, microphone, properties, mic boost.

You can try connecting yourself to a voice chat program like vent and sign in with two windows accounts. One account will be on the recieving end of the audio, the other account will be the one recieving the voice. You could try this method if there really isn't any other way to do it.

also make sure that you have the mic selected in the settings (if you hit volume when you see sound recording) and make sure you selected the right source of the mic.
