HI all, first what I am working on.... It is an older (2004)ish WalMart HP pavilion a735w. I know most of you think it should be in a trash heap but I gotta tell you it has been a solid machine never giving me any trouble at all. AT ALL. It has a decent video card and has played many mid level games flawlessly. SO here is what I am wondering, Specs for the machine show 1 GB as the max amount of ram. The motherboard specs, ASUS A7V8Z-LA, say 2GB max . Although asus says to follow manufacturers specs. Can I get it to take 2GB? maybe change the BIOS?
