Are you sick and tiered of your internet being 35 kbps or 40 kbps or maybe at the most 45 kbps?
well, worry no more.

- right click (my computer)
- click on properties
- on the window that opened, click on the (Hardware) button on the top of the page
- now click on (device manager)
- a new window will show with all the devices on your computer. Click on (Modems)
- now click on the modem that you are currently using.
- A diffrent window will show and click on (Advanced) on the top of the page
- And finally, on the (Extra enitiazation commands) space, type this code:
AT&FX

And now your internet connection speed will be 115.2 kbps all the time.
Enjoy :D

As far as i know this is a command for lucent modems, to stop line drops, you cant go faster than 56k unless your shotgunning 2 modems with 2 different lines. Poor info

Because

56K modems are analog modems capable of speeds near 56 kbit/s when connecting to a service that has a digital connection to the phone network.

They cant go faster.

Just did a quick look at AT commands and
&F resets modem to factory defaults
Xn tells it what speed rate to display, kbps or bps or whatever. You dont have the n (number) so factory default for X too on the speed display.
