Lookin at LCD MONITORS

i am currently searching for a 17 inch LCD monitor with DVI.
i keep coming across the word D-SUB when i'm lookin att hese monitors.
IS D-sub the same thing as DVI??

d-sub connector is the regular monitor hookup, like what you have right now.
