I've bought a LG Super Multi DVD Rewriter GSA-4081B - to install it do I just remove cover and plug it in? I assume no software is needed?

I bought it on-line and recieved no instructions or software.

yes, just plug it in, also you mght be able to DL the driver online-if the is one

I agree. It's an OEM. You're probably also missing the audio cable for the drive so if you're listening to music off of a CD, don't be surprised it there's no sound. The LG drive is really good so you got a nice pick. I'm getting the LG DVD writer mulitformat as well but getting it retail from Newegg. Software that comes with it helps, but you can probably go to the LG website and download their drivers. You can always use Media Player to burn stuff.
