LCD Monitor Response times

How big of a difference is there between a monitor with say 20ms response time and one with 8ms?? Is it noticeable? What about 4ms and 2ms?

What are you going to use the monitor for? Gaming? Internet browsing? Work?

20ms should be good enough for the normal user, but 8ms is pretty good. You'll usually notice the difference when it comes to gaming since things move faster. You don't need 4ms and 2ms because they are flat-out overkill. 8ms is already good enough.

mine i think is 16ms and i have never ever seen ghosting while playing games (css/doom 3/hl2/ runescape ) so that should be good enough

Well its for normal use and a bit of gaming like COD2, bf2 etc...

the BENQ FP731 is a very nice LCD monitor, mine only has one dead pizel over by the very edge of my screen so i never even notice it. and never any ghosting so try to find one with about 16ms response and you'll be good
