Laptop for video editing

My friend wants to buy a laptop for video editing and surfing the net. Budget is around $1000. Whats best now?

ASUS K70 Series K72JR-X1

Core i5 number crunching ability, Resolution 1920 x 1080, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB hard drive...

If I wanted a quick laptop for video editing on the move this is one I'd look at.

It would depend on the HD5470 mobile GPU in the laptop. I'm not sure what games this would happily run.

The rest of the laptop is great spec though.

That laptop looks pretty good. We were looking at a similar one from Sony.
