I just recently purchased a Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q705. Ever since I got it, within 30 minutes of me playing a game, specifically World of Warcraft, it will just lock up, and the sound skips. It usually locks up when the GPU is around 53-56C., and core1:40c core2:40c. (Not sure if thats overheating) The only way to get it responsive again is to shut it down by holding down the button. How can I fix this?

Tried:
Updating nVidia display drivers
Playing in a very cool, well ventilated area
Reinstalling game

Here is a link to the computer:

Any help is really appriciated.

It doesn't sound like it is overheating and my first suggestion would be to reinstall but you have already tried it. My next guess would be either faulty temp reading (pretty common) or a software conflict. What are you using to measure your temps? Also does it only do this with warcraft or does it do it with other games?

Download everest ultimate (google it) and run the stress test. make sure you also stress the RAM, see if anything simmilar occurs.

If you know how, run memtest from a CD or flash drive and test your RAM for errors
