I'll make it quick. I have an Acer Aspire 4330. I want to upgrade my cpu.

To be honest, upgrading CPUs in laptops is a messy business, and is rarely done. Most of the time, the processors are embedded or soldered onto the board for shock tolerance (e.g. to avoid huge damage to the CPU or it's pins through shock damage). Even if your particular laptop model supports removal of the CPU without desoldering it, it is unlikely that the cooling inside the laptop chassis would be sufficient for anything more powerful. Also, you can't really buy mobile chips unless you're a manufacturer.

Finding anything other than a Celeron to fit a Celeron's socket is going to be tough anyway.

hmmm must be why tigerdirect only has one single mobile processor. i just assumed i could since it is removable. i had considered checking into better cooling. Thanks for your input. it is much appreciated.
