LAN problems

Sup all,
Got a problem with my lan port I think, My broadband is slow through the lan port but fast in my usb port and I don't have a clue why any idea's?

And has it been working fine before?
And have you made any changes? (like updating drivers)

The port could be broken, but then I doubt it would work at all. I'd try installing new drivers, or installing the ones you had before if you recently updated them.

I haven't installed any new drivers but i will try a update.
and i haven't made any changes that i can remember
and it was working fine before.

Just in case you wanted to know its a
SiS 900 based PCI Ethernet Adapter

have you tried a different ethernet cable?
it could also be a problem with the modem/router

OK i updated the LAN driver still the same and i can't rollback because it has no driver to rollback to any other suggestions

Didn't see your post til i made mine.
I have tried another Ethernet cable and wouldn't the usb cable be affected as well if it was the hub?

id try buying or borrowing a new network card i know over in the uk u can get them for next to nothing so shouldnt be that much of a waste if it doesnt solve it

i cnt think of anything else it could be

My ISP also thinks its the LAN port and are sending me a installation CD for my wireless card and i will get a LAN card next time i go into the town
