Ok, so when i bought the pc i ordered kingston memeory 2x512 pc3200 (400mhz). When i went to go pick it up i even got the boxes and everythign. Now i run everest and see my memory modules coming up like this:

SPD Memory Modules:
DIMM1: Samsung M3 68L6423ETM-CCC
512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz)
(2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz)
DIMM2: Samsung M3 68L6423ETM-CCC
512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz)
(2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz)

So heres my question, wtf do i have in my system? Is it kingston or is it samsung and the main this is it the right speed? I havent had a chance to open the box up and check the brand name on the module yet, i will try first thing next week as i wount be around for the weekend. Hopefully this is just everest reading the module brand incorrectly.

THX.

No its kington ram that uses samsung modules!! That seems like very good ram btw!

cool thanks.
Someone else told me that they are not running at the right speed? (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz)

so its 400mhz split into 2? that suks man, i may as well have got a 1gb @400mhz and then down the line upgraded by buying another 1gb when the prices drop.

wat??

no. it's all good and correct.

It's not 400 mhz split into two.

ddr400 is in actually operating at 200 but it's double data rate so you DOUBLE the mhz. THUS, ddr400.

It's an operating frequency, not hardware.
