How do you shut off your kernal debugger??

I tried to install daemon tools and i got this error

Initialization error.
This Program Requires at least Windows 2000 with SPTD 1.24 or higher
kernal debugger must be deactivated.

So can i deactivate it??

So can anybody tell me what the kernal debugger does and is it ok to deactivate??
