Is it just me or is the unreliability of computer manufacturers highly exagerrated?

i mean i have never had a problem with any of my computers. and most people i know havnt either.
is the reliability over hyped. do you think a difference of 10% should insist you on paying more for a high end computer. i dont think so. i very rarely hear from friends about failed computers. but i see lots on the internet about it. i think the reason you see so much online is because someone who had a bad experience is more likely to complain then someone who had a good experience is to endorse a company. your thoughts please?

I beleive you're right about how most things you see online are just the complaints but coming from an IT background I can easily say some brands have better reliability/durability than others.
