ipconfig /rener wont please help

ipconfig /rener wont work please help

ipconfig/ renew wont work it says "the operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation." does anyone know what i can do for the command to work??

try typing in ur ip adress after the renew
i think that worked for me one time but maybe not

It wont work because of a few reasons.

1: You have no IP address
2: Your network card is disabled
3: you set an IP address for your card.

im just trying to change my ip without reconecting my net zero bcuz that takes so long im trying to do that bcuz i want to make more aim s/n's and it only alows you to make like 3 then u have to reconet to change your ip : / so im tring to change it without reconecting its def not #1 i do have and ip adress and its probably number 2 or 3 but i dont now how to change them how do i enable my network card and how can i make it so my ip is not set as my network card

Enter your control panel. Go to the Network.

Here you should see your connections.
See if the network card in question is disabled..

Next right click on the card and go to properties. highlight TCP/IP and right click it and go to properties. Make sure both check boxes are set to Obtain automatically.

Close out and reboot if it asks you.

now go back to the CMD, and type ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew

i didnt even have to change anything they where both set to obtian automaticly but even ipconfig /realse has the same error some1 help me figure it out
