I had some viruses that i got rid of (java.startpage and trojan.startpage) and got past that mess, however, now when i open IE and try to go to a site, i get this error: "Cannot find 'www.yahoo.com', make sure path of internet address is correct". I have ran adaware and spybot on the computer and norton and still nothing, not real sure what to do next, aside from IE the computer is great, any ideas...thanks much...

Are you sure your internet is ok? Can you not go only to yahoo, or all webpages in general?

Anything you type in the URL does not work, i get the same message any time i type and address in the URL. If I go to my history and follow a link that way, it works, but anything in the URL does not work....

tried uninstalling then reinstalling internet explorer?

check for dodgey programs in "tools" - "internet options" - "settings" - "view objects", right click and select properties, if it looks like it came from a nasty website or is some kind of advertising stuff, delete it (i know you all surf porn :p

hope that helps

i also have a problem with internet explorer, i cannot type anthing on on the screen whatsoever and have 2 copy and paste everything, nothing on my keyboard works with ie except "enter" plz help, i have no virus scanner so that may be why

To the first - check your internet connection - can you connect to the Internet through anything else? A Game maybe? If that doesn't work reinstalling Internet Explorer as ComputaFreak said seems like the best course. I doubt it is a Virus of Spyware because they will want you on the internet.

To the second; the same applies. Just reinstall Internet Explorer.

Haha! Again; Netscape is not free - it costs exactly one soul. Although; that is less than AOL which costs all your family's Souls and £20 a month.
