Insufficient Disk Space

I'm trying to convert a .mkv movie file to .m2ts using the program mkv2vob. The progress bar fills all the way like it should be finished but instead of finishing it tells me I have insufficient disk space. I googled this and thought it seemed like an easy fix but when I went to my TEMP folder there was nothing in it... did I miss something or is my computer simply to old?

how big is your hardrive , and what sizes are both of the files , it sseems you may have to delete some things you dont need any more

Yeah, I thought about deleting stuff but wasn't sure if that would do anything. Anyways, my computer is old so the HDD is only 18GB (time for an upgrade? :) ) and there is about 5.5GB of space left. The .mkv file is about 2.2GB and I'm guessing when it converts there will be another 2.2GB file. Do you think deleting stuff could help?

it depends only delete things if they are things you dont need any more ,

also how old is your computer , what are its other specs ?

Okay, I'll try that.

The computer is about 9 years old (I think) maybe more. 384MB RAM, processor is 650MHz P3. I'm running XP right now for my OS.
