Had a problem with burning CD's. Assumed that it was my software (Adaptec) so I purchased Nero but had the same problem.
Nero showed an error, saying that i needed winaspi driver.
I downloaded it and un-zipped it.
My question is: how do I install it?
Thanks

remember the location of the driver file then go:

Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management

Find Device Manager (Look in the folder view)

Find the hardware you want to install (DVD / CD-ROM Drives)

Right Click the drive you want to install and select Update Driver ...

When the installation starts select the advanced options 'Install from a list or a specfic location ..'

Type your location in and you are sorted :)

Wombat,
I downloaded the driver from the link that you posted. It says "please copy the file WNASPI32.DLL to the folder where Nero is installed."
Excuse my ignorance but could you , in detail, tell me how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Here you go, right mouse click on WNASPI32.DLL select copy, then go to C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero and then right mouse click and paste it into the folder.

Restart your computer and this should fix your problem.

Rock:

Why don`t you just download the full update, which is

SP2 proof instead of taking all the hassle of that

Winaspi thing...
