installation error

hi guys.. i tried to install microsoft visual studio 6.0 but i always get the error:

Setup was unable to create a DCOM user account in order to register ‘C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\Tools\VS-Ent98\Vanalyzr\valec.exe”

what does this mean and how can i fix it? thanks in advance...

You are logged into an Admin account? If that fails make another Admin account call it for example Admin2 then try and install from there.

i found this site that contains the solution to my problem.. the first few steps were working except for the latter part.. i cant find the applications tab and the MSVSA Local Event Concentrator Class when i run dcomcnfg.exe. im currently using winxp pro...
