I'm looking for a powerful but light notebook that I can use to play some games at home and do some video editing and carry around school. After doing some research over the past week, I've narrowed down my choices to two options.
MSI x460DX

Intel Core i5-2410M 2.30GHz
6GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive 7200rpm
14"
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M
Asus U46SV

same processor
4GB RAM
640GB 5400rpm HD
14"
same video card
The MSI has more RAM and a faster hard drive while the Asus has a stronger battery and is slightly thinner. I'm leaning more towards the MSI because it's available in the US while the Asus won't be released until next month at least.
There's no reviews on either laptop because both are new models. I did some research and found information on brand reliability and quality from forum posts and articles and it seems that Acer has excellent quality while MSI has had mixed reviews. Should I wait longer for the Acer because of its apparent superior quality or is the MSI still a good option?
