i want to build a gaming pc but i dont know much about the new cpu's out. i have not messed with pc hardware for over a year or bought a new comp in over 5 years i just upgrade. i need to know if i should get amd or intel and if i should get HT OR DUEL CORE.

I suggest since prices are dropping, Dual Core will be a great investment for a next build
Go to the Processor part of the forum, where you'll find alot of posts with information you may be interested in. For instance, the new Conroe from Intel, which is said to even beat the new range of AMD. Though saying that, when thats released, AMD are planning to drop their dual core AM2 cores by bucket loads.
So its worth checking out
