I made a thread earlier about how I couldn't install "Hunting Unlimited 3"

I went and exchanged it for a different one, same game, just different... (you know what I mean)

I successfully installed it this time, but when I go to run it this comes up:

Prism3d.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience.

what does this mean?

Hi. i've done research and I have found Its your video card drivers

Look at this support about the Prism3D error stated on there website and how to correct it:

http://www.valusoftsupport.com/KBArticle.asp?kbid=869

Basically update your video card drivers from the manufacturers website, uninstall the program, restart the computer, and re-install the program, which should fix it :)

Hope this helps

so...what you're saying is that what I have to do is uninstall the game, download a new video card driver, and reinstall the game, and it should work?

where would I download a video card driver?

Yes that would work.

What video card have you got and I can help? Did you read the instructions on the support page?

I followed the instructions, and I found out this...

Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics controller

Driver Provider: Intel Corporation

Driver Date: 8/20/2004

Driver Version: 6.14.10.3889

Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publ

This is a link to the intel site, with your video card set on the page. Just choose your operating system :)

http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=865

Then just choose the latest driver by driver version.

You should then be set and it should jsut update using the exe file, though if you get a zip file. un-compress it, and then go to where you found out the driver version, go to update driver, and browse to where you uncompressed the file, and it should see it as a newer version and update it for you.
Try and get an EXE version though that'll automatically install for you. :)

Hope this helps
