Help! My computer problem

here's the problem.

About a week ago windows 'lost' my profile. I restored it be editing the relevant registry key. However, My Documents does not show up in my computer.

Instead of getting (username)'s documents and shared documents I only get shard documents visible in my computer. ( I only have 1 account on the PC)

I can access everything fine, no problem. Just the lack of the icon in My Computer


So, the obvious question: HOW CAN I GET IT BACK

this shud sort it

START > RUN > REGEDIT >

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /
Software /
Microsoft /
Windows /
Current Version /
Explorer /
DocFolderPaths

Once you click the DocFolderPaths folder you should see all the user's folders.

Add a new string value

Value Name: your user name

Value Data: the path to your docs folder ( ex. C:\Documents and Settings\your docs folder )
