so i need a new PSU, board, and CPU.
I am thinking of going with Intel, and my budget is $200 for those 3 things.
I want it to last me until December.
My current things i have now are 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Ram, and 8800GT (G92), then the HDD, and drives that arent so important.
i will be using this for video, gaming, and multitasking.
thanks in advance.

I don't think you can fit something good (from Intel) at that budget. Look at AMD dual-cores. I got my 5400+ X2 BE (overclockable to 3.2GHz) for $80.

For a budget of $200 I think is pretty low when you include the motherboard and CPU.

How serious are you about gaming and multitasking?
For $200 I can't get a lot of good hardware recommended for gaming..
Maybe dual-core, 450-550w PSU and im no expert on motherboards so try
asus.com for that =]

i am going with Dual Core.
From microcenter, i can get a temp board for $50, a PSU for $25, and the E7200 for $100, and it will total up to $200 with tax and stuff.
i am not much of a serious gamer, only play about 1-2 hours on average in 1 day.
and multitasking, i pretty much mean playing music, going online, and those kinds of things.

Intel® Boxed Core 2 Duo Processor E7200

450 Watt ATX 12V Power Supply
might get another PSU instead if i get some money.

P4.945GCT-M/1333 (3.0) 775 mATX Motherboard

the PSU and Board will be temps, and replace ASAP.
