[Help] Installing a Slave Drive WindowsXP

Alright, apparently my computer can read the drive. But won't give the drive a letter. (I don't want to wipe the HDD.)

I've tried having the drive auto install and be read in the BIOS I've also tried manually installing it.

The Jumpers are set to Slave.

When I try to install the HDD in diskmgmt.msc it won't get past initializing and gives an error.

Are you sure that the drive is working? What do you mean by:

Yeah the drive is working. I just recently took it out of an older PC.

I've also tried to install other drives but the same problem happens. (I also checked the IDE cable)
