Help with external hard drive

Hi,
I have a seagate goflex external harddrive which fell down from a feet height recently andnow I am unable to copy data to hard drive I am able to recover important data but is that it.? shall I have to fotget the drive ? Is there any way to get the drive to work? I used active boot disk to to recover the data. It s a 2tb goflex desk external hard drive

Thanks for the response the product is out of warranty and can you instruct me how to connect it to computer?

You'll need to take the drive out and determine if it's SATA or IDE, most likely SATA.

If that's the case, then you'll need to determine if your computer has any spare SATA ports on the motherboard paired with a spare SATA power connection. Assuming you do, you'll be able to power down the system, connect the drive and reboot. There's a chance it may mess with your boot order, but doubt it will. Once you boot back into windows the drive will auto install and mount itself assuming it's still in operating condition.
